PAST TIMES ON THE ESTATE?
Committee Joint Chair, Roy Knivett, has discovered this (Powerpoint) reminder of how things might once have been for Tile Kiln residents. Ring any bells? It might take a little while to download.
ESTATE MAINTENANCE

Chelmsford Borough Council have responded to questions from a TKRA Committee member about the frequency of mainenance and mowing visits to Tile Kiln.
This is what they have said:
'As a rule we aim to visit all our shrub areas on at least 9 occasions
per annum.
However this does not mean they will get weeded
on every occasion as these visits are among other
things
arranged to clear litter and rubbish. With regards to grass cutting, we
work on a fortnightly cycle. As far as I can see form our
monitoring
data, this appears to be how work
has been progressing for most of this
season'
Email us if you think the Council is failing to meet its own targets.
Hopefully, if they work to target, things will not get into the state they were in up to mid 2005 as recorded in the photographs of Skylark Walk on the right.
